What makes a good Teaser Trailer?
Teaser trailers last approx. 30-60 seconds long and are usually shown a year before the actual release of the film as a sneak preview to wet the audience's appetite and cause a hype. These are a clever marketing strategy because very little footage is shown and little snippets of the film create tension causing an urge to want to see the film, hence the tension and excitement of knowing very little is what makes good teaser trailers successful. One other common factor is that these teasers usually contain footage which are not used in the actual film, perhaps due to the fact that filming is not complete. The exact date of film release is also not stated, however the season or month is sometimes included to enhance excitement and ultimately bring about word-of-mouth. In some teaser trailers, even the title of the film is not mentioned, this not only raises questions but also produces a good marketing process in which a logo or a symbol is used as a replacement for the title as an association for the film. This logo/symbol is also commonly used in relating magazine and poster adverts to market the film. Therefore, the symbol/logo has to be eye-catching and memorable.
One the other hand,
Theatrical trailers differ from Teaser trailers because they have the opposite functions. For example, they last longer and show more of the story line giving audiences a further insight to the plot and content of the film with using specially selected scenes from the actual film to further entice the audience. Theatrical trailers also promote the film by showing the famous actors who star in it to appeal to target audiences. Additionally, because the film is completed by the time Theatrical trailers are released, confirmed release dates and age certificates are also included.

Cally Beckley
Cally's website is an example of originality the reason why this is that she has displayed the research and planning in a blog format. This is a cleaver way of doing it because its very personal, you would know your next step of development, but it also has its downfall because she did not include a lot of written research and development. One of the elements that did stand out to us was the floor plan which she created for one of her scenes. This shows careful planning which we think would help the filming stages go a lot smoothly and successfully. We have decided that overall Cally's website is a good example of the direction in which we should go for our research and planning.

Viraj VaraWhen going through Viraj's weebly site we noticed that he had all the necessary work, but what was lacking was the content of the research. So we decided to take note so that we could remember the good things and the needs to improves. What stood out to us in the research was the costume and props background it was done thoroughly to the extent that we could visually see the outcome. Another thing that Viraj did well was the genre research, this is a important step when making a film to know your genre before hand, it helps create a narrative and build on it. Viraj's website is an example of what we could do and what we can add to to make it a pre-production success.

SURVEY'S
Questionaire
Questionaires where carried out in order to see what people are demanding and would recommend so that we could create a teaser trailer for a film that would meet the needs for a variety of different people. Below are the questions asked from our surveys.
We decided to create a online survey to categorize our range target audience. We used whats called 'Survey Monkey'. We also used this form in AS media, it was successful and determined our target audience, as well as giving us a lot of information therefore was a good choice to use again. The first question we decided to ask was 'Which category below includes your age?', this is the most obvious question to ask, but is also a very important one. The reason why this is because it determines and specifies exactly the age range the audience falls into, the decides for us what audience is most likely to watch our teaser trailer, and what we should include for them. The second question was 'What is you gender?', this question dictates which gender of the audiences are most likely to go and watch our film. The first and second question we think are the two that decides the target audience Whilst the rest of the questions breakdown elements that appeal to them. These being the most important questions to categorizes the target audience, it should be the one that is answered by a range if people, to get fair results back.
|
The next question we decided to ask was 'What genre do you like watching?', the reason why we did this was so that it could give us a rough idea on the genres people liked to watch the most, and the one that is most likest to catch the audiences eye. This would also give us a rough indication on the genre we should do, because at the end of the day, we want to create a teaser trailer that is successful and is going to be viewed by a lot of people, so creating a genre that is popular would be a good choice. The next question we deiced to ask was 'What is a teaser trailer?', the reason why we did this was to understand whether or not our target audience actually knew what a teaser trailer was, and whether or not the could tell the differences between a trailer & a teaser trailer. There is no point finding out a target audience for a teaser trailer when the actual audience doesn't know what that is. The fifth question that we decided to ask was 'What do you think makes a good teaser trailer?', this was to make it that much easier to know what an audience notices and likes when watching a teaser trailer so that we could use some of the elements to appeal for our audiences. It's also to know the factors that makes it 'catchy' and 'memorable' as well as letting us know what we need to include to keep our target audience interested and wanting more.
|
The sixth question that we decided to ask was ' What builds suspense for you in a teaser trailer?. The reason why we asked this question was for two reasons. Firstly, as the question overtly states, what is it that creates suspense for audiences and what the the things that come together to get the audience gripping for more. Secondly, it was to clarify the elements within the teaser trailer which we ourselves would need to work on the most, as it is the one that the audience remembers and catches their attention to go and watch the whole film in the cinema. The final question that we asked was 'Who do you prefer as the main character?' this was one we were struggling with as a group. Whether it was a better choice to have a female lead rather than a male. This is because conventionally action films contain male protagonists as opposed to female protagonists. However, despite this we liked the idea of wanting to break stereotypes, but we didn't want to set our eyes on a specific gender without knowing what our target audience prefers, therefore was a good and relevant question to ask.
|
RESULTS
For our first question 'Which category below includes your age?', 75.0% that answered our questionnaire were 17 or younger, in contrast to the 0% that were 60 or over. This already tells us the vase majority age range that are going to watch our teaser trailer. 25.0% that answered our questionnaire were between 18 and 20 years of age. Out of the 8 people that answered our questionnaire, it's clear that our age range is between 12- 20. However, this shows us that more people should have answered our questionnaire, rather that the niche 8, hence these results are not as reliable as what they could have been. This being taken into account, it is clear to say that secondary school children will be our main target audience. It is also good to note, that because only school children answered this question, the results would have been predictable. Therefore, observing in cinemas when watching other action movies such as James Bond, many 20 plus adults are there to watch the film. In conclusion then, we think a suitable target audience will be aimed from 12- 30. This is a good age range for us, due to the vase majority of students at our school should classifying under that age range, therefore we have more of a chance of our teaser trailer been view by more people. What we have learnt from this and will do differently next time is have more people answer our questionnaire. Not only do we think it will give us a more of a range of ages, but it will determine for sure our age range, with having different age groups answering the questionnaire.
|
What we can see from the result is that the majority of the people that answered our questionnaire were males. Having only 37.5% being females. this indicates already the likest gender to watch our teaser trailer. It also indicates that maybe we haven't been breaking stereotypes enough. The reason why we think this is that we were seriously considering to have a female become the lead in the teaser trailer, but it seems from the results that it's less likely to be viewed by the females. Despite this, if we were to have a female lead, perhaps more females would want to watch the film, boosting our trailer to have a mass audiences. An issue we can see is that more people should have answered our questionnaire, to enable us to have more of a variety of results to analyse and determine. Its a fault factor on our behalf, and one we are going to be learning from and would improve if we had the chance again.
|
For this question 'What genre do you like?', we received a variety of different answers. What we can see is that Thriller is the least favorable genre with 0% in results. We were a little surprised by this result, because thriller is a genre which we thought was favored among adolescents due to the idea of being scared. However, Sci-fi, received 12.5%. showing that it is not popular and is perhaps a niche range according to our school. Comedy, also gained 12.5% which is favorable as much as Sci-fi, its a genre which a lot of the people we know and the rest of my group happen to enjoy, due to the atmosphere of 'happiness' it creates, but our target audience thinks otherwise. Horror, Romance and Action all received 25.0%, this indicates that the vase majority like these genres, which indicates to us that one of these genres should be the one which we are considering to do, and to experiment with. From our research, we know that Romance is likely to captivate the interest from the female audience rather than males. Seeing that our target audience is mostly males, we would automatically eliminate the Romance genre and decide between Horror and Action.
|
Our fourth question was 'What is a teaser trailer?'. The way which we organised this one was to actually receive comments back rather than it being a closed question. One of the answers which we received was 'A trailer which teases you', this is a vague answer, hence we were not able to gain anything from it. A more advanced answer which we received was ' An advertisement that promotes a film. However, not revealing too much of its story-line, instead showing a few short scenes, to give a brief idea of what the film is about". This to me shows that our audience know what a teaser trailer is, and can differentiate between a teaser trailer and a trailer. This is a very good thing on our behalf, because by the audience knowing what we are creating, it makes the process that much more easier rather than educating them from the beginning. Another person wrote 'A trailer that makes you want to watch the rest of the movie', and that is the key element which we need to create. A teaser trailer, that will almost peak on behalf of the whole film, and promote it but is interesting for audiences. This is when we have to carefully think about what will excite our audiences to make them to be on the edge of their seats wanting more.
|
'What do you think makes a good teaser trailer?', was the question that would give us the answer to the elements which we would need to include in our own teaser trailer for it to be a success and exiting drawing in the most audience. This question followed along very well from the last question. 25.0% said flashing images was the element that made a teaser trailer 'good' and successful. The reason being that flashing images plays with the visual senses it simultaneous to the action on the screen that it make you want to carry on watching, whilst gripping you in further. 0.0% said voice over, this is something that has caught us of guard, because we want to include it. However, giving that this question only allows one option. It is clear that the most important elements are the soundtrack at 37.5 %, flashing images at 25.0% and quick cuts at 37.5% rather than voice over but it does not mean that our audiences do not voice over. Sound does play a vital role when watching something, because it tells its own story, as well as keeping up with the actual action the screen. It is clear that these three are the important elements which we need to particularly focus on to make our trailer a success for our audiences.
|
The element that built the most suspense for the audience that we asked was action as well as pace which jointly received 37.5%. These two elements are stood out to the audience as well as our group. This is because when we asked ourselves that question those two answers were the two which spoke to us and we noticed that we were too drawn in by when watching a teaser trailer. Plot and sound jointly received 12.5% in contrast to atmosphere which received none (0.0%). These results show us the most important elements that build suspense our audiences which we need to include and work on in order for it to be delivered successfully. The idea of having action links well with the earlier idea of having quick cuts and fast pace. Thus, we already starting to think about eliminating the Horror genre and having Action. Suspense is a very important factor when making a teaser trailer, its that thing that makes the audience become captured inside the action on the screen, as well as one creates the tension filed atmosphere.
|
This was the question that we were struggling to conclude in our group, but it seems the audience are the same. 50.0% both said female and male. This indicates that it 'really' doesn't matter who we deiced to cast as the protagonist, but then again we would want to break the predictable norm of having the male as the hero and the female as the damsel in distress and instead have the female as the hero. Therefore the one which we are most likest to cast as the lead is the female, however this may change due to the constant developments throughout the planning stages.
|
Conclusion
The results have indicated to us that the genre which is most likely to be used is action. In order to make that a success we have to use a variety of different techniques, such as quick cuts, fast pace along with sound/music that creates a good atmosphere which fits whats going on in the teaser. We have narrowed down our target audience between the ages of 12- 29 and the gender most likely to watch is male.
Genre Research
After doing our questionnaire, we knew for definite what our target audience is and although we have ideas for our genre, we thought it would be best to research to have more in depth research about different genres available to gain some knowledge about the common conventions used to help us include them within our own trailer.
Action
The Bourne Ultimatum
The Bourne Ultimatum teaser trailer is a clear example of how action as a genre can capture an audience instantly. The fast pace along with quick short cuts adds reinforces the action genre. The fast pace also excites audiences because a fight or a chase is usually taking place, illustrating one of the common conventions and making you want to watch it even more. Another thing I have noticed in action as a genre is that the protagonist tends to be a male figure, and is usually followed by a female damsel in distress which he has to save. This could be seen as stereotypical, but is a stereotype that the film industry holds. Another common feature is the use of weapons. Largely, guns are commonly used which adds to the excitement because it connotates the danger and anticipation. Action as whole is a genre that would be an excellent choice because it would tease and capture the audience immediately. We want our target audiences to be enticed, hence an action genre may be the answer for us. |
Columbiana
We have chosen to put Columbiana as an example for action as a genre, to show that unlike The Bourne Ultimatum, female can lead the film. and be presented anti stereo typically. A film can break stereotypes if it chooses to, which is an idea we may wish to pursue to make the film interesting for our audiences, as opposed to giving them them the usual predicted conventions. Therefore our research has enabled us to keep our options open, by researching a different type of an action film, just in case we have a female lead. Similar to above, it shows common conventions of fast pace, quick cuts and flashing action in the teaser trailer. Additionally the weapons and guns are also include furthering the idea that we may need a weapon if we decide to do an action genre. It doesn't reveal too much, but what it does reveal makes you want to watch it that much more. This teaser trailer for the film Columbiana indicates that casting is an important factor. Zoe Saldana is the lead, she has an established fan base and critical viewing in the film industry therefore is a good choice. We have to make sure that the person we cast is a ‘good’ actor and can deliver the narrative well. |
Romance
Letters to Juliet
Something I have realized, is that when watching a pure romance teaser trailer, it tends to show mostly aspects of ‘sadness’ whether the couple intended to break up or there is a loss of a partner. The reason why I think is because it’s a theme that people can relate to and like to watch to see the revolution. From my research, the target audience for romance films tends to be biased towards women, and in particular single women as opposed to men and teenagers. The voice overs also tend to be women. ‘Letter’s to Juliet’ teaser trailer is one I am very fond of, not only because I am a fan of the leading female, but because includes a lot of humour that automatically engages me. Hence, making it a hybrid Rom-Com. Unlike this film, Amanda Seyfried also stars in 'Dear John' which has less comic value but deep emotional romance involving true love. The narrative is the element in this romance is what draws audience's in, either because people can relate to it, or just fancy a good cry. Common conventions include slow music with string instruments, a female voice over, a heart breaking narrative where true love is separated and beach and/or other romantic locations. |
Remember Me
‘Remember Me’ teaser trailer doesn't reveal that much of the actual narrative; however it elaborates on the concept of fate and true love, which some may find a cliche. However, we do not think in a stereotypical way, thus we are to be open minded to concepts which people dream about. one convention of all films are the elements of a well established actor followed by a large fan base. In this film, Robert Patterson demonstrates this fan base along with the idea of having a good looking actor as the male companion. A guitar love song soundtrack is another convention for a romance genre. It slow paced and it can represent the ideology and/or metaphor of people gliding through a ballroom dance routine, in comparison to the lovers gliding through their romantic relationship. As a group, although we support the idea of true love, we found it a bit cheesy and would not consider a romance genre for our teaser trailer. |
Comedy
Ted
The teaser trailer for 'Ted' is one of the most memorable and humorous teaser trailers we have ever seen. From the day it came out, aspects of dialogue are still remembered within our group. We would want to make something that will be remembered for a long time and humour seems to be it. The cleverness of the dialogue and the actual humour included was definitely the factor that made it what it was, hilarious. For example, "Baby I love you, but ask the teddy bear to move out". The fact that it is said over dinner in the middle of a couple's relationship talk is what makes it humorous for audiences. For our group, our main area of improvement will be the script. It’s an element that is probably one of the important things in order for it to become a success. Things to remember are; to play on words, make humours references (if it fits) etc. Even though comedy is not a genre which we are considering to do, we have learnt the about the importance of script and how to make it effective. |
Horror
Human Centipede
‘The human centipede’ definitely captures the conventions of the horror genre. Conventions include the horror of blood and dead bodies stitched together to display the gruesome action taking place. Another convention was the echoing isolated soundtrack which linked well with the visuals of the actors screaming. Despite the film greatly displaying the conventions, we were concerned about the trailer being off putting for audiences to watch the film due to the extreme explicit horror shown. This is evidenced when we did our research and asked our peers about whether they would watch the film once they had watched the trailer. When making a horror based teaser trailer, it’s vital to get the audience’s heart pumping with fast paced editing, as well as sound that fits it all. We felt that this film and trailer configured to this. This was particularly relevant when the characters tried to escape. The audio and general fast pace feel is an element which we would take away from this particular trailer. |
Final Destination
The teaser trailer for ‘final destination’ really got our heart pumping; got us at the edge of our seats in a matter of seconds due to the quick cuts and tense atmosphere. What this teaser trailer has taught us is that when making a horror you have to put as much tension and gripping action into the teaser. You want to tease, but inform, although not too much of the actual ‘horror’ so that it doesn’t give too much away. What I’ve noticed with horror teaser trailers as a whole is that they almost deceive you of the actual narrative. We are considering doing a horror based teaser trailer; the things we will remember are fast paced clips of the ‘horror’ and action as well as great sound to build suspense and tension. 'Final Destination' contains the horror conventions of blood and gore, showing the bodies be. |
Crime
Elite Squad - The Enemy Within
The teaser trailer includes elements of what a crime genre would include. For example, the use of the army shows that power and/or high authority is needed in order to solve the crime. Crime as a genre in teaser trailers is very engaging. This is because of the way the quicks cuts, fast paces, sound etc. are incorporated into the action. |
Charlie Casanova
Charlie Casanova captures elements which link to crime. For example in the teaser trailer the lighting is very dark and creates mystery and illusions, it suggests corruption and power status. These are all things which add up to create crime, and add to the impact it creates. Another convention in the teaser trailer which also suggests crime is costume. For example the lead wears dark shades, and a leather jacket, this connotes crime, status and action.
|
Final chosen genre
We have decided that action/crime is the genre which we are going to pursue. Firstly, as shown from our questionnaire, Action was the most popular genre that our audiences would like to see. Additionally, the elements in which they thought made a good teaser trailer, such as quick cuts, fast pace is particularly shown within this genre as opposed to Romance or Comedy. Some of the conventions used within Action are the use of weapons, guns and fight scenes, thus being the ideal genre to appeal to our male target audience. Overall, Action was the genre, if we had to decide between other possibilities was the one which stood out to us because we knew we would most enjoy creating an original idea for.
Analysis of Action/Crime Genre Teaser Trailers
Here,we have analysed different teaser trailers from a variety of genres to pick out common features within the teasers to be incorporated within our own trailer to make it a success. We have included different shot examples which we thought we could take inspiration from and use.
Inglorious Bastards
|
The trailer teases you with the narrative, but it gives you a insight into the action within. The fast pace editing and the great use of lighting are two elements that really stand out. They come together to create a visually excellent piece as well as adding to the atmosphere created. For our film, fast pace and lighting techniques are two elements which we want to highlight, the reason for this is that in a teaser personally we look for something fast, something that catches our attention quickly, something slow is less likely to keep me us in our seat, therefore pace is a important factor when creating our teaser trailer. Lighting is also another big factor, how you light your set dictates the atmosphere created and the illusions and interpretations set. Inglorious Bastards has other factors that 'make' the teaser trailer, the biggest begin Brad Pitt as the lead actor. That already suggests that casting is a main factor, they actors you cast will be creating the reputation in some ways. If they are 'bad' actors, it will overshadow the teaser trailer as a whole, so casting is another main goal to hit.
|
Example camera shots:
Extreme Close Up
This is a shot which is a great example of a ' extreme close up'. It shows great detail in the features of the body. It puts emphasis on the details of the vein within the skin showing the masculinity and deeper anger emotions within the actor. This creates the illusion, from this close -up that the character is either a fighter, a hard working man or someone who's ready to battle due to the immense grip connotating anger. When we first saw this still, it created real power and held a great presence. We know that we should also include this shot to make our trailer more interesting and varied in terms of shot use. |
High Angle
This is the type of shot we would like to use within our trailer because it signifies dominance over the other minor characters. This is important to establish who is the protagonist amongst the opposition. the fact that the character with the gun is above the dead bodies, emphasises that even after death he still withholds power and authority. |
Taken
|
Taken teases you with the narrative, but it gives you a insight into the action within. Taken has other factors that 'make' the teaser trailer, one begin Liam Neeson as the lead actor. That already suggests that casting is a main factor, they actors you cast will be creating the reputation in some ways. If they are 'bad' actors, it will overshadow the teaser trailer as a whole, so casting is another main goal to hit.
|
Example camera shots:
Special Effects:
The special effects used in Taken have inspired us to want to recreate and incorporate it into our teaser trailer. We want to include a lot of action filled scenes, with explosives. This is because it would capture the audiences attention automatically as well as creating tension. The fact that the character with the gun is above the dead bodies, emphasizes that even after death he still withholds power and authority. The colours used in the scene are very weary and mystical, they help create the tension filled atmosphere, which is also our inspiration.
|
Establishing Shot:
This is the type of shot we would like to use within our trailer because it signifies dominance over the other minor characters. This is important to establish who is the protagonist among the opposition. The fact that the character with the gun is above the dead bodies, emphasizes that even after death he still withholds power and authority.
|
Safe House
Examples from clip
Close-Up
This, we felt was an excellent shot to protray the action genre, whereby you can see the clear facial expression as well as the prop of the gun. This shot allows the audience to see what his intentions are and to foreshadow that some sort of fast pace scene is going to take place. We would want to use this shot within our own trailer, due to the fact that it would represent the whole idea and common conventions which an audience would expect to find, such as fighting. Additionally, the close up expression of the protagonist allows us to see his emotion, which makes the overall scene more credible for audiences. In order to show this, we would need to make sure that we find a good actor who will be able to display relevant emotions to make our trailer and specific scenes believable. |
Casino Royale
This teaser trailer atomically captures your attention with the use of voice over, the voice is deep, but clear and it informs us what's going on. This is a interesting thing to do, if we were to use voice over we would have to execute is as well as Casino Royale has done. Location is another thing which has made this teaser trailer effective for us. All the locations that have been used are exotic is one way or another, from the hotel to the train platform which is clear, clean looking and shiny. Location was an important factor when making Casino Royale, in which they have made good use of. The fast paced action and quick cuts have also stood out to us, it engaged us well with the help of the soundtrack, which was also fast and catchy. What we have learned from this teaser trailer is that location scouting is important, its got to be a relevant location and it has to fit the narrative. Soundtrack is also another important element, whether it is diegetic or non-diegetic, its got to be constructed well and relate the the overall genre. For example, you would not have action fast pace in a romance film. Overall this teaser trailer has influenced us deeply and we will use it as a learning curve.

Examples from clip
Action Shot
This shot is a great example of action in motion. In our teaser trailer we want to include as much action as possible. The reason why this is that action captures the attention of an audience therefore to include a lot of it, which is executed well would hopefully be successful In Casino Royale the action elements run smoothly with the rest of the trailer, it fits in well because its planned well. Another thing we have learned is that planning your action will help you execute camera shot/angles well. |
Low Angle:
This low angle creates dominance and power. The element that is in focus is the red flag, therefore it creates the illusion that, that country is powerful/dominant. This angle also show the dominance of the building itself, it contrasts the black sky,and the people below it also creating the illusion that it is an important factor in the film. We could use a angle that is executed like this, due to the subtle cleverness. The flags comign out from the builsing represents the authority of that particualr building. This would also be a good establishign shot for us to use. |
Distribution and Production Company Research
Every film has production and distribution companies behind them to help financially to support them and market them. Hence, whilst in the process of making our teaser trailer, we re-searched the type of well known companies which support major and minor films today, giving us an idea which film production/distribution company would best suit our film. We thought one way by looking at this would be to see what genre of films each company has mostly supported and whether their ethos would help promote our teaser trailer involving the Action/Crime genre.
Production companies
20th Century Fox is one of the six major American Film Studios specializing in producing blockbuster Hollywood films . They've won a number of awards including the HEW Awards 'Retail Distributor of the year' and 'Overall Distributor of the year'. Home entertainment also won a Marketing Award for 'Best Film Marketing (Blockbuster)'.
Researching into this production company, we found that they produce a variety of films from different genres, however the major Action movies stood out to us, for example, X-men origins, the X-files and Batman. We think this would be the perfect production company for us due to the fact that they are known for releasing high profile Hollywood films which is the type of Action film we are aiming for. |
Film4 production is a British independent film company which is available in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Switzerland. It is a free digital television channel primarily owned by Channel 4. Film 4 want to 'develop British talent and be a leader of innovation in the British film industry'. I think, this production company would also be suitable for our film because our teaser trailer has a new concept of British police cadets with new actors involved. Therefore, as Film 4's ethos is partly to'develop British talent', this would definitely link in within our media project. Furthermore, as Film 4 showcases a wide range of titles from Hollywood to British based films. We thought that a possible disadvantage would be that it has not got a high profile name unlike some of the other production companies. However one feature which really stood out was the ability of Film4 to present and bring out the police cadet feature. This would be the only reason as to why we would consider selecting Film4 to promote our trailer with us. Researching further, we found that the common genre of films produced are Romance, Comedy, Rom-Com and Drama. For example, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Four Lions, The Inbetweeners Movie, East is East, The Lovely Bones,Slumdog Millionaire and Bhaji on the beach. Thus, reinstating that Film4 is not suitable for our teaser trailer.

Distribution companies
Over time the "global distributor of filmed entertainment" ,Paramount have worked with some of the biggest names in film industry including Brad Pitt and J.J Abrams. A 64-acre state-of-the-art production along with 30 sounds stages, it's no wonder they are constantly introducing the "new era of film" according to their ethos. They also have separate divisions within Paramount to cater for music record labels, TV entertainment and Productions. We've noticed paramount distribute large Hollywood films, blockbusters and big budget films on more occasions than smaller budget films, illustrating that they would be perfect in distributing our company because we are too aiming our film.trailer to be high profile Action. When researching further, we found their previous distributed films include the major Action blockbusters such as Mission Impossible andTransformers.

Warner Bros is one of the major film studios and a global entertainment company which currently leads in the creation, production, distribution - pretty much all forms of entertainment, the list is endless! Warner Bros production facilities are world class, from costume to props, it remains true to the high standards of '"creativity'" and computer "technology". In particular, they specialize in Hollywood films which consist of high action genres similar to ours but with big budgets. They also commonly do collaborations with smaller production companies such as ourselves. Major Films include Batman, Ocean's Eleven, Superman and Lord of the Rings. This, just like Paramount would be ideal distributors for our teaser trailer as they can promote the high profile feel to our trailer which we need to make the experience more believable for our audiences watching our teaser trailer.

Final Chosen Companies
We've decided to use 20th Century Fox for our main production company in collaboration with our own independent company to make the teaser trailer more realistic and believable for our audience. Additionally, we've chosen Paramount to be our only distribution company reason being that they have a high status profile for distributing Blockbuster Hollywood Action/Crime films similar to ours. Thus, our thorough research into films with correspondence to both companies have been worth the analysis because we feel as if we've made the perfect choice to make our trailer the successful product which we aim to produce.
